CAT CHASER

The Cat Chaser Cattery, LLC, established in 2022, is a microcattery dedicated to raising healthy, well socialized, and strikingly beautiful Maine Coon kittens. It is exclusively a cattery for purebred Maine Coon Kittens — all of whom are the offspring of champion European bloodlines.

Newborns enjoy feeding time under Sonnet’s watchful eye.

Pricing:

  • CFA-registered kittens (male and female, any coat color), $2,500.

  • CFA-registered polydactyl kittens (male and female, any coat color), $2,500.

To reserve a kitten, I ask for a 10%, or $250, nonrefundable deposit, which is applied toward the purchase price. Sales of kittens are subject to Maine sales tax (5.5%). I accept personal checks and cashier's checks for deposits; I require cash at the time of pick up.

*PLEASE NOTE: My kittens are sold as companions. I do not sell breeding/show rights.

Viral Testing & Genetic Screenings:

All Cat Chaser's adult breeding Maine Coon cats have been tested for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV, or "kitty AIDS") and the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All have tested negative for both. In addition: All the parents of the breeders — i.e. the grandparents of my kittens — have also tested negative for FIV and FeLV. All the breeders' parents and/or grandparents have also had DNA genetic screenings for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM); Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD); and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). All have tested negative.

CFA Registration:

Cat Chaser is an officially registered cattery with the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) based in Alliance, Ohio, the world's largest registry of pedigreed cats. It is cattery No. 321206.

Every litter of kittens born at Cat Chaser Cattery is registered with the Cat Fanciers' Association right after birth. Registering kittens at birth makes it easier for a kitten to be individually registered by its new family at a later date, if the family wishes to do so. And while I choose to work solely with the CFA, Cat Chaser kittens may be registered with other cat organizations.

To protect the health and safety of my cats and kittens, Cat Chaser is a closed cattery and is not open to the public.
